Riad guesthouse in the medina of Salé, facing the Atlantic

Dar El Mouhit is a characterful riad in the historic medina of Salé. On the far bank of the Bouregreg, facing Rabat, this guesthouse stands in the part of the medina closest to the ocean, whose view unfolds from the rooftop.

Salé and Rabat: two banks, one destination

Salé and Rabat form a single conurbation, on either side of the Bouregreg. To stay at Dar El Mouhit is to be at the heart of a living medina, within reach of Rabat, its museums, its corniche and its restaurants. For a riad in Rabat-Salé, the medina of Salé is on the north bank, facing the city.

The art of zellige and traditional Moroccan architecture

The house keeps its original decoration: zellige, carved plaster, wooden ceilings, some of them in worked cedar. The medina of Salé, founded in the early 11th century, is a living medina, a stone's throw from the capital.

Bookings open, the house in its original state

Dar El Mouhit is open and can be booked directly. The house welcomes its first guests in its original state, which we keep making more beautiful with care. The house suits a stay in the Rabat-Salé region, a getaway on Morocco's Atlantic coast or a cultural journey through Morocco.

Salé and Rabat: the same city, the other bank

The medina of Salé and the centre of Rabat have faced each other for centuries, linked today by the Hassan II bridge. Choosing Dar El Mouhit means access to everything Rabat offers, its medina, the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern Art, the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, while sleeping in a living medina.

Location and access

The riad is located in the medina of Salé, on the north bank of the Bouregreg, facing Rabat. Served by Rabat-Salé International Airport (RBA), recently expanded, and the Rabat-Salé tramway. Contact: [email protected].
