Getting there

Salé, on its own bank.

Getting here

Salé is easy to reach: its airport, train stations and main roads are right here, and the city is crossed by tramway, taxi, rowboat or on foot.

Dar El Mouhit sits at the heart of the medina, Sala el Bali. However you arrive, the last stretch is on foot — and we come to welcome you.

Getting here

Four ways
to reach Salé

01

By air

Rabat-Salé airport sits on the Salé bank itself: you land in the city, not across the river. Its recent extension has opened direct links with several European cities. From the terminal, a taxi reaches the medina.

02

By train

Salé is served by rail, on the coastal line: get off at Salé-Ville or Salé-Tabriquet, from Casablanca, Kénitra or Tangier. The high-speed line stops in Rabat, linked to Salé by tramway.

03

By car

Highways connect Salé to Casablanca, Fès and Tangier. The medina is pedestrian: you leave the car near the ramparts, then walk to the house. We'll tell you where to park safely.

04

From Rabat

The two cities face each other, now linked by the Moulay Hassan bridge. The tramway crosses the Bouregreg and stops at the entrance to Salé; grand taxis and the ferrymen's rowboats also make the crossing.

الوصول The last stretch

The medina's lanes can't be taken by car. You always arrive on foot — and that's where Salé begins.

Let us know you're arriving: we'll come to welcome you at the entrance to the medina and guide you to the door of Dar El Mouhit. A call is enough — +212 530 56 73 86.
